Close to the sun - with our lenses
Why Nylon Polarized Lenses?
You should keep your eyes safe from harmful UV light and be able to see clearly.
We use an advanced material called trogamid for our lenses. It's bio-based nylon developed by Carl Zeiss. Our lenses are lightweight, flexible, scratch-resistant. All our lenses are polarized and offer 70% better optical quality than polycarbonate.
Polarized lenses block horizontal light from the annoying glare caused by reflected sunlight. Just think of the reflected sunlight that shines on glass, asphalt, water, or snow. Sunglasses with polarized lenses eliminate this glare, ensure that you see colors truthfully, and have better sharpness and depth in your eyesight.
Why trogamid lenses?
On average, our trogamid lenses are 20% lighter than polycarbonate and glass lenses.
Trogamid lenses have a good “memory” because this material is highly flexible. They will get back to their original shape if you bend them even for a considerable amount of time.
Thanks to this flexibility, nylon lenses will guarantee you good resistance to impacts. They are anti-scratch, oleophobic, and hydrophobic . So also guarantee you total safety in any condition.
As opposed to other materials, nylon is BPA-free, thus keeping you away from the dangers of being exposed to this chemical.
Trogamid lenses guarantee a 70% higher ABBE than polycarbonate and glass lenses: this means better optical performance than standard lenses.
Choosing trogamid lenses reduces the impact of production compared to polycarbonate lenses, thus helping to preserve the environment. Furthermore, they are recyclable.
